The bonnet (also known as the hood) is the most visible body component and one of the parts that car buyers often look for. The main requirements for the engine cover are heat and sound insulation, light weight and strong rigidity.

The structure of the engine cover is generally composed of a heat insulating material sandwiched in the middle, and the inner plate plays the role of enhancing rigidity. Its geometric shape is selected by the manufacturer, and it is basically a skeleton form.
Principle
When the hood is opened, it is generally turned backward, and a small part is turned forward.
The hood, which is flipped backwards, is opened to a predetermined angle and should not come into contact with the front windshield, and there should be a minimum clearance of about 10 mm. In order to prevent self-opening due to vibration during driving, the front end of the engine hood must have a safety lock hook locking device. The locking device switch is set under the dashboard of the vehicle. When the door is locked, the engine cover should also be locked at the same time.
